So you all have seen this. And many of you have had your hands at reconstructing Deinocheirus, first based on the vague information from the Lee et al. abstract, and now from the photos of the skull. I didn't, and I still like to do that not before a detailed description has been published. So mark my words, I might forget it in the following years:

When I woke up today, these things happened: a good friend of mine sent me a link to a documentary, in which a gay TV journalist met doctors who considered homosexuality a disease, something curable - something one might expect to be less prevalent in central Europe than elsewhere. Yikes. After that, 15 DML mails, including the above-mentioned article. So while Jaime Headden and Julio Lacerda, and I bet others, had their go at the "homosexuality is unnatural" fallacy in their dinosaur artwork, I think I might still honor the day of the Deinocheirus photos with a male-male couple of Deinocheirus next to a group of young juveniles, perhaps defending them ferociously against a predator. Remind me of this when there is something published that allows me to reconstruct these awesome giants. I'm late to the party, but some more gay theropods can't be a bad thing.

In the meantime, why not draw some female-female pairings. Or some that don't adhere to the "typical" behavior or their biological sex.
